Start with why you need the training. Then confirm the exact course name with your employer, school, licensing agency, or program.

Before you pay

Verify these four details

Exact course nameAsk whether you need BLS Provider, Heartsaver CPR AED, Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED, Pediatric First Aid CPR AED, ACLS, PALS, or another course.
Accepted training organizationSome employers or licensing bodies specify AHA, American Red Cross, or another approved provider. Do not assume every card is interchangeable.
Hands-on requirementBlended learning normally still requires an in-person skills session. An online-only certificate may not meet job or school requirements.
Completion card and expirationAsk what card you will receive, when it is issued, and how often the organization requires renewal. AHA BLS completion cards are generally valid for two years.

  • What is the cancellation or rescheduling policy?
  • What identification or prerequisites should I bring?
Already completed a course? Lost or replacement AHA cards are handled by the Training Center that issued the original card. Keep the Training Center name and instructor contact information with your credential records.
